The Hyundai Veloster will wear the new 1.6 T-GDI turbo with 211 horses

Hyundai plans to add to Veloster the new 1.6 T-GDI turbo engine with turbo direct injection twin-scroll technology that delivers 211 horses with 265 Nm of torque. This engine is part of the project, Blue Drive Hyundai and is designed to consume less fuel at low engine speeds, thus reducing emissions of CO2.

The engine can stand up against the 2.0-liter TFSI the VW Group which is installed in many models of the group as the Golf GTI and the Scirocco. The engine will place the future in the new Hyundai ix30 is expected in 2012 as a 2013 model, but the next generation of the Kia Cee'd. Debut is expected to make the report in New York on April 20.
